Me?? Card maker??

Can hardly believe it myself, I have been making cards! I know it isn't much different to scrapping, but it is something I really struggle with. made the little xmas ones on the right from a Blue Bazaar Xmas kit (of which I have no xmas photos to put too!). I got the card 'bug' and ripped out old never-read cardmaking mags (that come free with scrapping mags) and have been going off! I have just so many little scraps and stickers and things that need using up. It's great!
I actually had an 'overwhelming' moment in the scrap room Friday... I just have sooo much stuff! I love it, but it's time to get better organised again, as I really am at a loss as to what I have got. Still it didn't stop me going to Renayes on Saturday (and Sunday) and buying more!

Creating Keepsakes (Dec 2009) Scraplifts

I absolutely fell in love with two LO's in the Creating Keepsakes mag last month. Cute, funky and simple... I just had to scraplift them XOXO

Hot much?

Just returned home from... well, er, home! Thanks for a great holiday Mum, Dad, James and Rip (surrogate dog). Was looking forward to an afternoon of unpacking all the new scrap supplies bought from Kylie's, Bev's and Seeny's... but low and behold... no suitcases! Qantas (the bastards) were running behind all day with flights and we suspect they have been left in Perth.
Any rate, more important matters.. pick up puppies in a few hours!
Looks as though not only did we have full on storms here in Kal while we were away, looks as though it did get REAL hot too. My little pot plant has keeled over, and check out the candles! Anyways sign off now, lots of scrap to do, and a Blue Bazaar package to collect at the PO!

One and a couple bits sleep to go...

So it is midnight, and thanks to my protective puppies who heard a mouse fart over an hour ago, I have been awake since! But bless, at least they are now up with me.

I thought I'd get on here and have a toy around and check out some scrapbooking stuff (something different?? Yeah nah!). Tonight I checked out Ali Edwards site (she has a regular column with american mag, Creating Keepsakes), and she was talking about picking out one word to use as a mantra / theme for the new year. Always up for a NY challenge, I decided to pick a word myself.

"WILL"

I have little challenges I want to complete this year, challenges I WILL complete because of my desire and WILL to do so.

My new years resolutions this year:
  1. Loose weight (hmm, think this was on last years?)
  2. Laugh
  3. Get fit and become more active (assists #1)
  4. Make healthier food choices (assists #1, however tucking into a 'Prattie' when I get home, is more likely to assist #2)
  5. Scrap 'Project 365' (a photo a day for an entire year - another Creating Keepsake gem)
  6. Play better a better game of netball (#'s 1,3 & 4 will help acheive this)
  7. Explore
  8. Patience (almost 2010's word)
  9. Run (without the usual prerequisite of only if being chased)
  10. Less time on the computer

I think that'll do me for 2010. Anything else will be a bonus!

So only one and a couple bit sleeps to go. One tomorrow night, a bit more tonight and a bit on Thursday night. Checking the flight details today, 3 1/2 hours from Perth to Melbourne, which will have us arrive AEST 6am = 3am our time! I am sure I will arrive with my happy face on, but may have ugly 'tired bitch' one on in the afternoon... got any of them patches left???

The boys know mummy is off somewhere as not only did she do some ironing, she packed her suitcase too. Poor babies, but at least they get to go hang out with Uncle Wade and Aunty Ivy at the holiday camp.

A mate from work left her run a bit late with her 'high maintenance poofter dog' and all the inn's in Kal are full, so now 'high maintenance poofter dog', may have to stay somewhere shady. Unfortunately this dog seriously requires supervision. Days before christmas, he managed to open his treat cupboard door, and devour 500gm of Smackos. 500gm is not an issue if you are a 23kg Border Collie, it would merely be a light snack. But poor 'high maintenance poofter dog' only weighs about 6kg. Owner advised she came home to the little dog unable to move, tummy dragging on floor.

Like I said to her, worst thing is, he would most likely do it again given the chance!

Decaf tea now drunk.

Pups back asleep.

Time for mummy dog to do the same.

Good night xx

I am a SEWER!!

How exciting! I have sewn something together... dare I say, am I a sewer? And I even have enough material left over that I can scrap a page about it - You can take the scrapper out of the scrapbooking, but you can't take the scrapbooking out of the scrapper LOL
Thanks mum XXX

He's sooo pretty....!

Work it baby dog xx
