Love This

Sweet, sweet holidays! A week off and I am getting nothing done other than what I want to do... ah bliss!
Tanya and Adam had their wedding photographer in town on Saturday for some 'trial' shots. I loved this pic when Tanya sent it through to me, and warned her, that is what I would scrap next!
Here's to the beautiful couple xx

Travel Buddies

This weekend has been reasonably quiet on the craft front. Managed a few more letters on my "Creative Clutter" cross-stitch, 3 cards and one layout. It's been too hot too do anymore!

More creative fun

Another lovely "crafty Sunday afternoon" with my favourite crafty bitches. There was sooo much food today and it was so yummy! Thanks Nic, Tan, Jen, De, Val and Kathleen.
This afternoon I completed a double layout from a kit. It was a 'love' theme and I couldn't think of a better love story than the bro-mance between my lil boys xx

A fantatsic recipe from Pinterest, Caramelised Onion Tart. I think I've made it 4 times in the last 2 weeks!

OLW February prompt was a mood board to inspire wonderful thing into our lives. Was an easy prompt and I think we were all thinking and hoping that there would be more 'craftiness' to the prompt, but hey, such is life!

Thanks for sending over the rack Mum xx As you can see I now have patterned papers sorted into 2 racks and cardboard in the racks on my shelf. I look very professional haha. I actually had 'Scrappers guilt' as I hadn't realised just how much beautiful paper I have. I'm going to go through it and do my own kits up instead of buying anymore. And as for space in my room, I've picked up an ikea sofa bed thing for the spare room. Dad looks like I'm ready for you to come stay anytime you are!

Had to show you these kits! I bought them online from the states, they're 18 inch christmas stockings. The felt is marked but all the embroidery is mine to do. Glad I got them early, hope they'll be done in time for christmas!

Address Book

Another lovely afternoon crafting with the lovely ladies Nic, Tanya, Jenny and Deanne. Today I made up a little address book as my old one has been hanging by a thread for some time! Couldn't warrant buying one when I could make my own. Also started a second (much quicker) cross-stitch, as well as still going with my big one.
Can't believe it is back to work tomorrow..

"LOVE" cushions

I finally made my own (presentable) "LOVE" cushions (or "VELO" as H is calling them, which is apparently french for 'bike'). I saw these in Real Living magazine last year. Upon seeing the price (RRP $70 each) I decided I would make myself some. After mum's tuition in fabric cutting and 'how to', I'm really proud of how they finished up.
I also went thrifting today and picked up the pink lamp base in the picture for $3 and then went to Target and bought a shade. All in all it has been an enjoyable 'creative' day.

First playdate for 2013

A great afternoon scrapping, chatting and creatively planning with the gorgeous Mrs Mitchell. I managed to get a double layout of my NZ Black Abyss trip done. I can't believe that was six months ago already, the last six months have zipped by!

Thought I'd take a couple of shots of my scrap space as it is today (and actually tidy!). Looking to sort my goodies a little better as the year progresses. As you can see, space in this room is at a premium!

Happy Twenty Thirteen

Happy new year people! I am really excited about this coming year! I have lots of wonderful things planned with my loved ones. The highlight of course being the 16th August for Tanya and Adam's wedding :)

I had a wonderful time home with the family at Christmas and was very sad to leave them behind. As usual though, it was great to get back "home" to Kal and start suitably spoiling Fergus (whom might I add, is doing very well without his big brother - if only I could say the same!).

This photo below is of me and my new "brother" and bff, Digger on Chrissy day. Big kiss on the chops  - what more could a hungover girl could ask for!

The next two are my January prompt for One Little Word. I'm super pleased with how they turned out. I didn't have any proper photo paper so printed Friday nights 'selfie' of Fergus and me onto Kraft cardstock (the efffect on this page is perfect).

I really enjoyed this prompt as it is setting little goals to reflect on throughout the year. I have so much I want to do, I know my word is going to be very visible to me this year. I am also really glad to be sharing the OLW journey with Nic and Tan too. We're getting together tomorrow for our first playdate for 2013 - bring it on!!

May 2013 be bigger, healthier, brighter and more creative for us all!
