Only in Kalgoorlie....

I absolutely love Kalgoorlie. It's a bit like Forrest Gump's mumma's reference to "life being like a box of chocolates, you never know what ya gonna get..."

To get the full reference to the second picture, I will bring you up to speed. You may not have come across Nickalodeon's underwater cartoon character, named Spongebob Squarepants. The picture below is of him. A square sponge, with legs, well.. er.., named Bob.

Featured in todays Kalgoorlie Miner (our local paper)! Someone had snapped this fair dinkum (I shit you not - it aint staged) snoozing on the main street 'spongebob' on Wednesday and posted in on twitter!

A poster child for Kalgoorlie tourism....? bahaha I can't wait to see the backlash from 'spongebobs' people to this one in next weeks papers.... it's gonna be huge!!!

PS. Haven't done any scrapping for ages - and not likely too for a bit while I focus on my study, work and netball commitments.
Even my Blue Bazaar kit sits untouched :( boohoo

Fergie turns 5!

Apart from Rexy getting a 'cold' and havin to go to the doctor, and mummy's car getting reversed into, Fergie puppy dog had a happy birthday on the 25th Jan.

Right into my kits over the weekend, managing a total of 6 LO's. 5 from my Blue Bazaar kit and 1 from Leeann's class I missed last year (funky result above).

Scrap Journal

Last night and this morning I created a scrapping journal, similar to your quilters one. It's came out really nice and I'm quite happy with it. Now I've just got to start filling it in!

Creating Keepsakes have asked me to send a LO for publishing in an upcoming magazine!!

I am SOOO Excited!

Project 365 - week one

First week of 2010, first page of Project 365!

Again, another fine way to use up those itty bitty scraps and create a record of 'life' for future generations. Which on that... I figure they're going to be bored shitless when they read it! Work,work,work,work,work, scrap, scrap, work,work........Geeez Louise!!! LOL

BTW (by the way), missing you heaps folks. April won't get here quick enough! XXX

Me?? Card maker??

Can hardly believe it myself, I have been making cards! I know it isn't much different to scrapping, but it is something I really struggle with. made the little xmas ones on the right from a Blue Bazaar Xmas kit (of which I have no xmas photos to put too!). I got the card 'bug' and ripped out old never-read cardmaking mags (that come free with scrapping mags) and have been going off! I have just so many little scraps and stickers and things that need using up. It's great!

I actually had an 'overwhelming' moment in the scrap room Friday... I just have sooo much stuff! I love it, but it's time to get better organised again, as I really am at a loss as to what I have got. Still it didn't stop me going to Renayes on Saturday (and Sunday) and buying more!
